There is a really cool idea that I have come up with lately and talked to my wife about, and we both agreed upon it: trading in her old diamond engagement ring for a new one to represent our retaking of our marriage vows. I know that this sounds silly in a way, but we were really trying to think of something that could signify our ten years of marriage and really celebrate who we were as a couple. So now that we see the next ten years of our wonderful relationship approaching, we have decided that by trading in her old diamond engagement ring and getting her a new one, we can reassess our vows. This will allow us to retake our vows with a fresh start, and a new diamond engagement ring that will represent the symbolic value of our long and cherished love and time together. In par with this notion will be a second wedding, however, we are keeping it toned down and not nearly as lavish as our original wedding. Many couples, I have learned, retake their vows, and now this time it will be my beautiful wife and I, as I once again propose to her for another ten years on one knee, offering a new diamond engagement ring for her love.
