Romantic Gift Ideas 101 |

I admire my big brother. He has always been successful in his relationships. I think it is his ability to consistently come up with romantic gift ideas. He said it has more to do with his ability to communicate. I have turned to him for advice on romantic gift ideas. I am getting married in the spring and I would like to be as successful in my marriage as he has been in his. He has been happily married for the last nine years. I figure he has to be doing something right.
He agreed to help me refine my romantic gift ideas. He agreed to walk me though several romantic gift ideas and explain to me what works and does not work. First he took me to an online store is called North Bay Emporium and is located at www.northbayemporium.com/. He had me look over the gift baskets and come up with a couple of romantic gift ideas from the selection they had. Then we talked about each basket and tried to figure out if it was romantic or not.
It was quite an eye opener. The biggest thing my brother explained was that a gift is only romantic if the person receiving it thinks it is. I could think I had the best romantic gift ideas in the world but how romantic I thought a gift was meant nothing if my fiancée did not find it romantic. It is not the gift but the idea and though put behind the gift that counts.
As we were looking at all the gift baskets my brother pointed out the one he would give his wife, the Romantic Massage Romance Gift Basket(Pack of 1). He made a point of telling me it had nothing to do with the fact that had the word Romantic or Romance in the title. It had more to do with the fact that his wife likes receiving massages after a hard day at work. It had a massage guide in it that they both could read. It had everything they needed in it to have a nice romantic evening once the kids were put to bed. What made it romantic for him though, was that he was not just giving a gift to her but time for them to spend together. It was not about her or him but them. I could not argue with his logic. I also have to thank him for showing me the North Bay Emporium. I think it is a great place to start looking for romantic gift ideas. |
