Romantic Gift Ideas are Important in Marriage

 My husband needs help in the romantic gift ideas department. Oh, he tries very hard, he just has a hard time coming up with romantic gift ideas on his own. Mind you when we were dating he did not seem to have this problem. He would bring me blue flowers all the time. It was fun to see what different flowers he would find. Once he surprised me with a basket of aromatherapy candles, oils and chocolate. It was very romantic. It seemed easy enough for him then.

 When we were first married his understanding of romantic gift ideas changed. Flowers became for special occasions only. Useful gifts became common place. Dinning out became going out for burgers with the kids. The only aromatherapy candles I saw were ones I brought home.

 So we talked about it. He understands that romance is still important in our relationship and I want him to give me surprises like aromatherapy candles again. It would be romantic because he was thinking of me.

So now I have more candles than I know what to do with, but I know he loves me and that's what counts.
