Sandlar and Barrymore fall in love but after she has a traumatic brain injury which causes her to have amnesia after going to sleep every day, he has to figure out a way to show her day in and day out that they are a loving couple who in the end get married. It’s tragically funny because every morning she freaks out because she doesn’t know who this guy next to her is until watching a recap video he made for her. He is the king of romantic gift ideas in this film because every day he has to do something different to make her fall in love with him. Imagine that.



In the spirit of the movie, not planning on getting married any time soon, I started thinking of creative ways to present a diamond engagement ring. I thought a cool way would be to put a cased ring in a box of cereal the significant other pours every morning so that it would spill out for a breakfast surprise as the guy served up a plate of pancakes that spelled “Marry Me?” I think that qualifies as romantic gift ideas.
